Key features and options include 600W output with natural convection cooling, no fan/airflow required. Enhanced thermal performance may be obtained with system fans or additional external conduction cooling. This results in higher system reliability, with typically 25% longer lifetime than competitors. The CoolX600 is certified to MIL810G for Shock and Vibration. It has been characterised for MIL461F certified as well as CE101/102. In addition, the product carries full safety certification to UL/EN60950 and EN62386-1.

Other features include High input surge protection of 4KV Line to PE for operation in harsh environments and reverse energy protection without the use of blocking diodes. Typical efficiency is greater than 93% and operation at 5000m altitude is possible. A 25W standby power output, offering effectively another output, for system intelligence, displays etc. is a standard feature.
