Excelsys Engaged in Key Industry Sessions at APEC 2016
The annual Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) will convene in Long Beach, CA on March 21-14, 2016. APEC 2016 continues the long-standing tradition of addressing issues of immediate and long-term interest to the practicing power electronics engineer A popular aspect of the conference is the series of Industry Sessions dealing with relevant and timely topics of interest to the design engineering community. Two of these sessions: IS-13: “Safety & Compliance,” and IS-19a: “Electromagnetic Compatibility Issues,” will be chaired by Kevin Parmenter, Excelsys’s VP, North America Application Engineering.
According to Parmenter, “The design engineer is faced with new and changing regulatory standards for power conversion products and systems. Attendees at these two sessions should come away with new approaches for dealing with a number of compliance issues.”
Kevin Parmenter is also co-chair of the Power Sources Manufacturers Association Safety & Compliance Technical Committee. Interested individuals are also invited to participate in the PSMA Safety & Compliance Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 23nd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency Room F to plan the committee program for the coming year.
