Excelsys to Hold Seminars on Power Supply Compliance at Del Mar Electronics & Design Show 2017
Kevin Parmenter, Excelsys VP of Applications N. America, will present helpful information on dealing with the many – and changing – regulatory issues for power supplies
Excelsys Technologies, leader in high-efficiency AC/DC electronic power systems for mission critical medical, industrial and military applications are exhibiting at Del Mar Electronics & Design Show 2017. Located at Booth 143 the revolutionary CoolX600, convection-cooled modular power supply platform will be the centrepiece of the market leading range of user configurable power supplies on display for Excelsys at Del Mar this year.
The CoolX600 delivers an incredible 600W, without fan assisted cooling, from a very compact 8.5 x 4.5 x 1U package. The only fanless modular power supply on the market, the CoolX600 is completely silent in operation, produces no vibration and offers >25% reliability Increase over fan cooled alternatives. Excelsys’s innovative patented modular resonant technology offers system designers best in class efficiency and reliability in addition to the most comprehensive feature set and specifications available. An industry leading 5 year warranty ensures quality, reliability and the lowest total cost of ownership.
Kevin Parmenter, Vice President of Applications, North America, will present two seminars at this year’s Del Mar Electronics Show. Drawing upon a career spanning over 30 years in the electronics and semiconductor industry, Kevin will offer valuable insights and useful tools to help design engineers tackle power supply safety standards and dealing and compliance issues.
The following SkyBox Seminars will take place on May 3rd, 2017, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego, California.
10:00 a.m. – “A New Free Source for Regulatory Standards Information.” This session will inform design engineers about a free safety and compliance resource for power supplies that continually tracks of global standards and regulations and automatically updates the user. This new – and free – database can drastically reduce the time and money it takes to stay informed and up-to-date on regulatory issues.
3:00 p.m. – “What Doesn’t a Power Supply Have to Comply With These Days? – Considerations for Systems Power.” This seminar will provide an overview of the main safety, compliance and regulatory standards relevant for power supplies in different applications. It will address the needs of engineers who need to comply with a plethora of regulations to ensure the safety of the actual end system for users.
